Or just gave them away to our other enemies, on the theory that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"? Or paid the Russians to take them? The Russians are always strapped for cash these days, and they've got so many damned leftover WMD they can't keep track of them.

Maybe Putin didn't want the invasion because he knew it was unnecessary?

If it turns out that Saddam got rid of them while Dubya was playing footsie with the UN, I am first with the bet that Hillary and the Seven Dwarves will be leading the necktie party! "Bush didn't keep America safe!"

Scary thought, depending on who he sold them too.

Actually the most likely candidate would probably be Syria but they have WMD anyway so it really wouldn't change things much. The people who would really want it would be Al Qaida but Saddam and Al Qaida where not exactly best buddies.
