It is high time that militarists like you get a grip on the reality that you are attempting to create. It is a truly ugly world that you are attempting to create. Funny.. from my perspective IT'S ALREADY AN UGLY WORLD. We're just trying to adjust to the growing realities of totalitarian regimes who keep 5% of their population under arms, or corrupt Arab regimes who have pssed away trillions in oil wealth and done very little for the benefit of their own people. A world that depends on death, destruction and conflict for profit.* Excuse me, what's the most readily available personal weapon available on the global arms market right now?? It ain't the M-16, Raymond. It's the AK-47, which you can pick up for about $50 per copy. And the same goes with the majority of armies around the world who use soviet era equipment. How many nations operate US military equipment versus Russian and/or Chinese military arms? It sure ain't the developing world. The future you hope to create with F-22s, JSFs and ATFs is indeed an ugly and depressing one. Yes, it is... for those who seek to threaten or attack us. And frankly, that's the way it should be. Have you ever considered the alternatives? Have you considered that the destruction of thousands of innocents in the Fertile Crescent for the sake of Halliburton's profits Oh absolutely!!.. And I find it FAR PREFERABLE to the French/Russian alternative, namely continuing support for the brutal, genocidal regime of Saddam Hussein in exchange for the benefit of TotalElfFina/Lukoil's profits. At least the profits derived from any US related oil finds will wind up benefitting the people of Iraq, rather than building Saddam another palace. Have you no moral sense whatsoever? This from a guy who supported keeping Saddam in power and he and his family in lush palaces, booze, fast cars, hookers, and French goods? I suggest you have little moral basis from which to cast judgements the subject. Hawk
