I don't post much but I have to chime in. My Grandfather is a staunch Democrat who believed that Bush "stole" the Presidency. About a month after 9/11 I was visiting him and having lunch when he said to me, "You know what? I am sure glad Gore is not our President." I believe, as Carl does, that the economic situation we are in now began as Clinton was leaving office and it wouldn't have mattered which man won the Presidency. But I also believe that of the two men, President Bush was the one we needed for what we have had to deal with. He has been decisive and persistent in his beliefs and convictions. He may not have always expressed his views eloquently, but he won the belief of many people by the way he has reacted to wat our contry has faced. he has alos, in y opinion, proven himself to be a human being with real emotions and real feelings, even though he is President. This also has won the confidence of many. Ok...I wil be quiet for another 6 months :)
