But when I talk to other (generally smart) people about my concerns (deflation, dollar destruction etc) they look at me like I have some mental problem when you hang out in a place like this, where we all preach to the choir, you can get the feeling that your "concerns" are widely recognized truths when the reality is anything but. i find the same applies with other themes, such as energy crisis. the common idea seems to be to trust in Greenspan regarding the dollar/economy and trust in technology regarding energy. intelligent people who are otherwise skeptical of government and corporate propaganda readily accept these myths unless they are motivated to investigate the issues.

It is a widely accepted "fact" that one out of every three people on the planet is a complete babbling idiot. The next time you are talking with other (generally smart) people regarding your concerns, take a close look at the person to your left, and then at the person to your right. If they look okay, then it must be you... KJC <g> PS - Wonderful thought about switching Prozac and laxatives. I'm sure it's good for many different punch lines...
