Constitutional Monarchy is the worse system except for totalitarianism and anarchy.
LOL, well it beats those; dictatorship, absolute monarchy, and other military rule are also pretty poor.
It's more bearable in the Norwegian or Dutch forms, where the monarchy has no power, there's not even a relic of hereditary privilege (i.e., titled powerful aristocracy generally owning much land) and it's basically been chosen by the people - a figurehead of state. Stops Presidents poncing around abusing the privileges of power, too.

But all that's outweighed, in my eyes, by the right to choose the HoS and remove one who's useless or worse. However pretty their palaces, it doesn't matter.
