Per Yahoo, the complaint is only six pages in length or so. Obviously not much detail therein. The real danger is that the SEC feels the need to poke around, just for due dilligence. If an SEC inquiry does take place than E. Hunter gets what he wants...lots of pain and turmoil. Makes for better settlement terms.

If the Cree outside directors did an investigation of the charges when they were first raised, and came to a conclusion that there was no merit, and did some reasonable documentation of their inquiry, even through counsel so it is protected, absent anything else that could calm any SEC interest pretty quick. The SEC is not there to be used for vendettas or personal family disputes.

Hopefully the analysts will read the pleadings over the weekend, make a few calls, and reiterate buy ratings on Monday morning.
