I don't have a philosophical problem with pulling down tyrants. In fact, I supported our actions against the Taliban most wholeheartedly. In fact, I predicted that our troops would be met with flowers in Kabul only days after the WTC attack.

I see... so then we should just overthrow them, and "walk away" and leave the people to their own devices and those powerful criminal elements who would just restore another flavor of tyranny?

Because clearly you seem to be saying the US should pull out of Iraq right away in order to avoid the coming "quagmire" that awaits us. Should we pull out of Afghanistan immediately?

Apparently you believe we can just overthrow tyrants with bloodless coups and lollipops?

Or that when we overthrow a despot we should be concerned when a minority of the population might oppose our actions, while the majority are pleased? (Look at the favorable reception we have had in Baghdad and Karbala).

but the fact is that I bet that I am more Republican than you are, if you count up the dollars I have donated to the party.

Yep.. that's probably the case. Because while I lean toward the Republican party in elections, I consider myself a pragmatist, not an ideologue.

Who provided "training and support" to the Palestinians, LOL? Look, they don't have to win by killing us all.

Am I missing something here? Is the US engaged in hostilities with the Palestinians?

Cuba is in our backyard, and that makes it both an easier twig to break, and one that is more important to us. But there it is, unbroken

Don't count on it if they keep screwing around in Venezuela.
