Living in Rockaway Beach in the summer of 73 was a few notches above paradise for many a young man brimming with curiosity and imagination. I'll never forget that sunny day when the three of us nerved our way to a blanket where two bikini clad beauties were displaying their wares as non chalantly as red in a stop sign. Prior to our attempts to "rap" it was agreed between the three of us that if the third wheel was obvious, he would bow out. The odd man out was soon apparent as, to show their coolness or test ours, we were offered Marlboros. Sam left as Jim F and I choked through our first cigarettes. The four of us burned many a smoke together that summer. I love cigarettes.
My seven year old daughter started breaking my chops. She learned in school that smoking causes cancer and through her tears she told me I will die if I do not stop . I promised her I would stop for her and I did on 12/31/02. BUT I STILL LOVE CIGARETTES!
Good Luck,
Jim
P.S. Sam started smoking almost immediately
