<the far right extremist thought seems to be quite similar to the far left extremist thought....using that word loosely.>

Into what catagory do you put John Dean, and Senator Byrd, and the Conservative Party in the UK, and the Labor ministers in the UK who resigned in protest before the war? Are all of them "extremists"? How about all the people in the Intelligence Community, in both nations, who are leaking all the data, indicating the widespread disbelief of the "immanent WMD threat" by Intelligence professionals, before the war? Are they extremists too?

The war, and the lie before the war, were committed by the right-of-center U.S. governing party, and the left-of-center UK governing party. And the opposition, then and now, spans the entire political spectrum, the whole range.

the far right extremist thought seems to be quite similar to the far left extremist thought....

I tend to look at extremists on either side as a sub-set of humanity only capable of emitting more heat than light.

They complain, think they are special, and seldom possess a viable alternative viewpoint as to how to deal with any particular situation.

Personally, I don't care what someone's political view might be. I just want some viable solutions to a whole gammut of global and national issues.

And I still have yet to see any of the extremists, left or right, give us a different manner in which to have handled Iraq (except to just "fugget about it" and claim the problem didn't exist.
