They did it with Egypt, returning to them a sizable piece of geography from when Egypt had attacked them on 3 different occasions There were 3 wars with Egypt, but in the first two (1956 and 1967) Israel attacked first. It was the last one in 1973 that Egypt attacked first.

(1) Osama complained both about our support for Israel and our having troops in Saudi Arabia. (2) I was not in favor of our having troops in Saudi Arabia. Ask anyone who served there. They were spat upon and hated by a substantial number of the locals. -- Carl
