I know this is fundamental, but I have hard time accepting that there could be 100 of one event in a row.

But again apply this to trading.
Could one get it wrong 100 times in a row?

Not even I have done that!
Not with investments or women.

regarding your last points:
My point from the beginning is in the position sizing.
Of course if one bets the same amount then one would go broke fast.
That is the point I making in trading:
figure on only being right half the time and
use position sizing.
