Hi Sig. Yes, I'm back. I moved a few months ago and was slow getting my 'Net service re-established. I'm now using a local dial-up service for $10 a month _ it's reliable and very reasonably priced.
But I've been following the markets so I think I'm in tune with where we are and where we are headed _ which is higher. Mr. Market does not tank when the incumbent prez is running for re-election.
I took off last summer with the following recommendations: Profitable biotechs, a basket of $2-under stocks and C or JPM. All things considered, not a bad way to play the recovery.
So what's next? I see tangible improvement in the economy _ and soon, like within a month or two. The falling dollar eventually enables the U.S. worker to become competitive again.
I see no chance of higher interest rates until after the election in 2004. And the Dow will be well above 10K before the Fed worries about an "overheated" market again.
I think people are seeing Bush policies beginning to take hold _ the tax cuts helping to offset the health insurance costs is the biggie.
And the new Federal withholding takes effect with our next paycheck.
Hope you are well. And I'm tickled to see you here.
