the US is also much more of a consumption economy, whereas japan is an economy where the individuals save a lot more of their income and while that may sound great for their household finances, it is the reason that contrary to the last quote in that article, we don't have to gut the supply to be prosperous here, we just need to keep improving the economy so that there is even more demand I suggest you visit Japan or at least make some friends who are from Japan or familiar with Japan before you make such wild claim. I also think you are in denial yourself right here right now in your post.
