Ed - Be prepared for the point in time soon when the pendulum swings back to offset the artificial gains and pent up demand awakens. Top of inning 3 of the Shock and Awe series will start. Dont miss the game, I hear some bears will be slaughtered.

"From the bolded part, if that guy's right then last week's number and maybe also this week's are more temporary aberrations than anything else. There is only so much gas that can get pushed around the way the guy describes, and then once that is over you have a 1:1 match of gas going into the pipeline vs. going out into storage."

Ed,

I suspect this is one of many reasons for the record storage numbers and many of them are one time events.

As an old time posters once said, "the cure for higher prices is higher prices"

As I've always said, supply is a function of price. At a given level of price there will be plenty of supply to exceed demand. It looks like $6.00 NG is what it takes in today's market.

Many hear are talking about the world running out of energy and holding oil and gas stocks as long term investments. Nothing could be further from the truth. While many may be relative correct in the long run, they will get killed in the short run.

This is a cyclical business and when you start to hear "it's different this time" the top is near.

The smart money is already taking there chips off the table. It never pays to fight the market. Follow the money!! Cash looks pretty good to me right now.

All we need now are a few stupid acquisitions and we can put a fork in it.

JMHO,

Jim

<as "more gas was being taken from the pipeline than was being put into it at the field or wellhead location." >

Wow, rob Peter to pay Paul. Some games being played, and sentiment looks perfect for another leg up. Hope everybody reads that one.
