I think the extreme nature of the right wing Bush agenda will create something of a backlash in the American electorate. I don't see anything worthwhile coming from the Democrats at this point in time, but there is a "I hate Bush" sentiment rising across the country. I rarely bother people (outside of this thread) with my views on Bush and his misguided political agenda. But I often have people tell me that they cannot stand Bush. I hope the Democrats can find their compass and their voice and mount a credible challenge to Bush -- I hope he gets his electoral ass kicked for making such a mess of US policy and for being the agent of an extreme right wing group that he has assembled around himself.

Steven E. Miller (miller48@attbi.com) was the former Board Chair of Grassroots International, a left-wing international agitation organization that meets every two motnhs at Starbucks.

He was also on the national board of Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility (CPSR), a bunch of slackin dopes who feel guilty about all the old computers (2001 and earlier) filling up our landfills.

A former unemployed promoter of divisiveness in the community, substitute teacher, and movie review journalist, he currently leads a small non-profit that tries to get schools to pay them to help them spend money to wastefully integrate 'technology' into the curriculum soley for the sake of being able to claim they integrated 'technology' into the curriculum.
