I find this a curious thing to say. Under the Taliban, Afghanistan enjoyed a degree of stability, and the heroin trade was nearly eradicated, at least for one season. So you want stability, do you?? How about Nazi Germany.. They eradicated all their Jews so the diamond trade was wiped out.. How about Stalin.. His regime was stable too... And he eradicated all kinds of nasty habits as well those who were stupid enough to advocate such destabilizing concepts like democracy and private ownership.. Do you ever bother think through your BS statements, Raymond?? (or maybe you really admire totalitarian systems where people are coercively TOLD what to think and do.. But I will grant you that the opium trade must be one facet of any development in Afghanistan that must be crushed. Hawk
