Gray-out is probably finished, but the Dems will get ANOTHER governor. This episode will only bring out the disaster of a Republican party in CA that has sunk over the years from the Reagan level to the Huffington depths.

The best opportunity may be to get Feinstein OUT of the Senate, as the Governor's mansion may be irresistible to her, and could actually put her in the already-fractured Dem presidential race (where, OF ALL THINGS Dick Gephardt is being spoken of as the leader: ROFLMAO!!!)

The CA Republicans would have a chance in a special Senatorial election, and could begin their long-overdue re-organization, with a prominent emerging Hispanic middle class in southern California. If the CA party manages to change it's LOSER status in this way, they would not only swipe a Senate seat this year, but the state's electoral votes for Bush next year...
