Why don't you do some research on what our combat veterans were telling Rummy before the war? When Turkey rejected our troops, the Pentagon virtually begged Rumsfeld to bring in the troops by air(albeit slowly). He was told he could still have a lighter ............ 443 characters

Agreed, but these rules do not apply to Iraq, and the top brass knew it. The New Yorker has an article coming out which goes into detail about Rummy's defiance of the military establishment.
