Anatomy of a good run since March lows gets tripped up
with 2 bad trades in the last week and one half tonight.

I did an about-face at mid-day and am now long again in QQQ's. Although I have been whipsawed 2 days in a row..I am actually pleased with my performance, since in my previous incarnation I was a long-only bull who would sometimes get locked into an unprofitable position.

Both Friday and today I reversed quickly, yet not before the market had confirmed. By the end of the day I was up nicely. Now.. if we can only get some follow-through, so I can lock in some substantial profit!

Sideways volatility will likely be a challenge to my current swing trading system, since I am trying some new things here. However, whilst not the most profitable, the last 2 weeks have been the best I have ever traded. Despite the chop, I have been up every single day at the close.

Unfortunately, we just haven't gotten very sufficient follow-through.

Does anyone have any comments or experience with an ALWAYS IN MARKET system (Long / Short)? Again, I believe the key is just managing drawdown during long directionless periods.

Thanks.

-Jason

hope you don't get whipsawed again

volumn on this retest of highs still looks anemic, which is a bearish sign according to VolumeOlogists

this rally is gotta be sputtering on fumes, although technically speaking 1700-1800 is 'possible' on the COMP considering the liquidity bubble cyclical bull move we are in

BPNDX possibly breaking down stockcharts.com[w,a]daclyyay[de][pb20!b50!f][vc60][iUb14!La1..]&pref=G

did you give up on the yellow stuff?... it appears to be on the verge of another breakout, possibly

lot's of 'possibilities' <g>

good luck to ya
