Just printed out a test page on Epson 580. Though it's in Russian. Here is the English language site..

OK, have to turn off PC now, and really do clean out that ink well now the pesky software problem is out of the way. The mega cyber demon killer laser cannon barrels are already running hot today...

Just listen to this..

I *must* go on printing and I don't have a replacement cartridge..

A solution I used successfully is to fill the cartridge back up with distilated water. It will mix up with the remaining ink and still print and acceptable way. This can only be done once of course and is not guaranteed to work. Pouring in distilated water a second time will make the water too clear to allow the print heads to operate.

and I guess some readers here thought I was cheap eh? -g- Let the record state I have never tried to refill an ink cartridge and always bought the best new el cheapo ink cartridges money can buy. As the economy deteriorates though, I have some ideas to make further savings <ggg>
