The rain let up for a few days and yesterday I finally got some vegetables in the ground. The garden is the smallest it's ever been. This year I'm going to keep it simple.

... digitals are so much fun. after reading your
post at 7:30 this morning, i ran out a took a few
shots of my garden to let you see what i did to keep
the cats from digging in it when it was just seeded.
after a while, i moved the sticks to i could get the
the lettuce without spearing myself in the stomach <g>

i really feel for you guys back east this year - your
winter was lousy, your spring was lousy and your summer
has not been all that great to date. usually at this
time of year, your gardens have caught up and past ours.

the sticks probably wouldn't keep out determined
hungry critters though.
