And so are you...
Bulldozerman

everyone likes a good lynching- as long as they're doing it-Even You.

The question is, do you know that about yourself, as well as about others? That's what separates the juveniles from the adults.

if you say france's position is based on opposing U.S. lies, when, in fact, their position is dictated by a long term business and very often personal relationship with that country's former dictator

Hello? Did you even read my post to you? You know, the one in which I said the following:

All countries' positions on every international issue has two parts:
(1) Benefits to their own citizens (financial, included)
(2) Their rights and wrongs

So, in case you didn't get it this time around either, let me say it again: France's position was influenced by what they believe is right and wrong, as well as their financial benefits. So was the position of the US. So was the position of UK, Russia, Spain, Eastern European countries, and everybody else. Countries do what is in the best interests of their nationals as well as what they believe is right. Get over it.

Frankly, France's is the one coming up short on the moral side of this equation.

How come? Are you under the impression France was the only country who opposed the US invasion of Iraq? Or are you under the impression that US didn't have material gains from the invasion of Iraq. Oh wait. Are you going to say US freed Iraqis and that is why they invaded Iraq? :-)

Who in Iraq, other than baathists, want Saddam back?

That is not the issue we are discussing, is it? I happen to think Bush should be removed from power but I would not approve of the invasion of the US to force that. Especially an invasion based on lies, coersion, bullying, and flat-out twisting of international customs and laws.

I don't know where the WMDs are, but, gees, you're fast to convict when it's you doing the lynching.

Oh for the love of God. Open your eyes. Your own administration admitted to "faulty intelligence", which means, to anyone with half a brain and at least one functional ear, that they ADMIT there never was a WMD threat from Iraq. You may have also noted that anyone who comes up with a lead on WMDs in Iraq can pretty much write his own ticket with the US, and yet no Iraqis are coming up with info on the so-called WMDs. Have you asked yourself why?

Your administration lied to you so you would back their invasion of a country that has never threatened yours. Deal with it.

WMDs -- How many centuries are you willing to give to King George to prove up?

Re: but, gees, you're fast to convict when it's you doing the lynching.

Your position is becoming ridiculous. The whole world knows that George Bush lied about the WMDs. Only fools and fellow travelers in the radical reactionary right seem as obtuse as you.
