10:36 ET CC Circuit City: Raymond James reaffirms Strong Buy rating and $10 target (7.18 +0.31) -- Update --
Firm is encouraged by the improved results and hope that they mark the start of a trend of stabilization. Valuation remains the key basis for firm's investment thesis as the shares trade well below Raymond James' $10 sum of the parts valuation.

08:01 ET CC Circuit City beats, names new CFO (6.87)
Reports Q1 (May) loss of $0.21 per share, $0.03 better than the Reuters Research consensus of ($0.24); revenues fell 8.7% year/year to $1.93 bln vs the $1.99 bln consensus. Actual of loss of $0.21 includes $0.05 in "remodel and relocation expenses", however these are described in release as "costs" and loss of $0.21 is described as "non-recurring" so it appears this is comparable to R.R. consensus. CC also announces Michael E. Foss will take over for retiring CFO Michael T. Chalifoux. Foss joins Circuit City from TeleTech Holdings (TTEC).
