Mike/All:

I have a question on voting rights of shorted stock. My only conclusion is that I must be vision impaired. Here is my thought:

I own 200 shares of xxx in a margin account
Broker loans out 200 shares for short sale bought by yyy

A vote comes for whatever. Do I get to vote ? and what about the guy who bought my shares ?

It would seem that these 200 shares either represent 400 votes or 200 votes. If only 200 then who gets to vote them ? I am thinking the last guy holding gets to vote them since technically, I no longer own them. yes/no ?

Thanks
