Started out at the ripe old age of 39 in 1990 on a
286-16 computer with a "huge" 40mb hard drive and a blazingly "fast" 2400 modem.

Soprry, but that's hardly a pioneer. Especially for those of us who started out with tape drives and 28K modems, migrated up to 8" floppy disks (that really WERE floppy) and 95K modems, and when we got our first disk drives they were huge 5 meg drives that cost $5,000.

There are still a few of us old timers around who remember running WordStar and Visicalc on dual floppy disk drives, one disk for the program and one for the data.
