The end of deflation;;;...

We had expected to report the end of High Street deflation today, but
it
will have to wait another month. Tuesday's RPI data showed rising
inflation
in food and household goods and less deflation in clothing & footwear -
enough, we had calculated, to take inflation as measured by the retail
sales
deflator into positive territory. It was not to be. On this measure
prices
fell in May and are still lower - just - in annual terms. But the trend
is
there for all to see. Just as global concerns reach a heightened state,
deflation is about to disappear from the UK High Street.

SOX 400-403 will be retested soon, SP 1028 level is the present top, the range of 928-1028 is what is now in play. The top being 1028 and the bottom being 928; only if SOX takes out 403 decisively we will see QQQ 34-35 in play otherwise we will continue to consolidate between 403-355 until next two weeks. Critical watch is SOX and lower range of SP 928 that break would spell new problems.
