But that was only an excuse from day one. Rumsfeld indicated that he could hardly wait to get the hell out of Iraq. Can't blame him. We are sitting ducks there, and we will be as long as we stay. Our soldiers will not enjoy being picked off one-by-one, year-after-year. And when they find out that the whole WMD was fabricated up to convince a reluctant American public, the soldiers will wonder what they are dying for -- they are probably are already wondering. Nobody likes to die because somebody else lied -- especially if it is their Commander in Chief.
