Show the stats. bub. There are in place State Medical Assn. guidelines re. this procedure and the Drs. follow them. Doctors sometimes do the procedure on Women who are suicidally depressed (a real condition). I guess you don't care if she kills herself providing the baby is not aborted? Any law re. this procedure will make it less available when it's indeed needed, since Drs. will be afraid to be charged with a felony. They'll feel the burden of proving the medical need.
