tip, Alas, lies have no party affiliation. Telling them is the only real bipartisan practice in DC.

North Korea says they already have nukes and would like to hit the west coast. Why is Iran more dangerous than them? Oh, yeah, they don't have any oil. <g>

I don't think the rednecks and honest conservatives really know about all the lies. They don't want to believe them and they don't. I constantly find very intelligent right wingers who still think that Nixon did nothing wrong. And left wingers who think Clinton never lied. (Whether or not his lies deserved impeachment is another level of thinking. I think it deserved everyone mooning him and then moving on. <g>) And, sadly, Catholics who believe that the priestly molestation stories are being spread by Satan's agents (William Morris?)

And then there is yours truly, who believes that the WWE matches are real. <g>

I'm about as conservative as they get but a large part of conservatism is dislike of government and especially big brother type activities. Waving around the bogeyyman and setting up programs to spy on anyone who may have an opinion on something is not my idea of good government. I may vote for Al Sharpton......ng
