The territories and the Yukon are HOT in the summer. Lotsa light, sun never goes down. Cabbages grow to enormous size, perhaps 100 pounds or more. Carrots can be used as timber to build emergency shelter. (a vegetable garden can threaten a dwelling if not kept under control by ninja-like weeding..) It affects insect life too. Mosquitoes become so numerous and aggressive that they have been known to drown out jets warming up at airports and can attain the size of a smallish song bird. (They've been mistaken for hummingbirds.)

Neither can I Martin, its been overcast and storming from the north most of the day. You could surf the waves breaking on my shore.

Since you've been kind enough to send us your weather, would you like some mosquitoes or black flies as a return favour? You have an international airport down there so there should be plenty of room for them to land.

Regards... Ouch (slap!)
