<font color=blue>You wrote:"Why doesn't the left ask WHERE the WMD are that everyone in the world knows he had?

Because they are only interested in any power they can regain in the US to further their socialistic agenda."<font color=black>

Hey! Not supposed to answer your own question! <g>

Obvious, isn't it? The LEFT's goal of "Power at any price" has made the LEFT very dangerous. They don't care if they make the US more vulnerable to attack, as long as they gain power. American troops are in extremely dangerous positions in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and at the same the the LEFT is trying to undermine and weaken our government.

<font color=blue>You wrote:"Why doesn't the left give a big sigh of relief for the suffering of the people of Iraq?

Because they couldn't care less about the suffering people of Iraq (or anywhere else for that matter.) They proved that when they vocally opposed Operation Iraqi Freedom."<font color=black>

That is frightening. Most of the world could care less about the suffering of the people of Iraq, or, as you say, any other place. Perhaps it is because of overpopulation, increased poverty, educational standards deteriorating, etc. I don't know why, but world trends are towards supporting the corrupt and the immoral.

It makes it more important for the Republican Party to remain strong and not to alienate it's moderate core. I think that the Democrats are hurting themselves with the dishonest and treacherous WMD witchhunt against Bush. We will find out how badly after the 2004 elections.

moenmac,

Re: Why doesn't the left ask WHERE the WMD are that everyone in the world knows he had?

Because some of us are smart enough to understand science and forensics. There are no WMDs. They are Bush's fantasy which Americans have uniquely been too stupid to figure out.

Scott Ritter, among others, has made it perfectly clear that the shelf life of biological agents such as anthrax, small pox (in itself a highly speculative fantasy that Saddam Hussein ever got hold of any) and others is short, and that Iraq was most likely truthful in its 12,000 page declaration that it had no current WMD programs as of late 2002.

Much of Hussein's WMD capability was destroyed in the Gulf War, then the weapons inspections of the 1990's removed another set of these weapons. There simply wasn't anything of significance left in 2002, except for the bluster and lies of Blair and Bush.

*************
Re: Why doesn't the left give a big sigh of relief for the suffering of the people of Iraq?

Because we understand fully that the U.S. sanctions regime in the 1990's was as bad if not worse for the Iraqi people than was Hussein's regime. And now that chaos has descended on Iraq, we see no reason not to believe the worst about George Bush's real intentions. Which appear to be to beggar the Iraqi people, just as Bush is doing to the middle class and working class in America itself.

Bush will be enriching his bribers with Iraqi oil and U.S. tax cuts. Bush is the enemy of the people. Both in the U.S. and in Iraq.
