RE Iraq Airlines:
Probably not too safe yet. A few missiles lying around in bad hands. Do not need tourists getting killed over there.Makes the US look bad , Bush would get blamed for not protecting tourists
And insurance is a problem, for airlines and for tourist agencies.
Fly to Kuwait or Syria, take a bus to Baghdad.
Phones are probably a political prize, just like here, where you buy bandwidth from the Government so the fee schedule must be worked out and reliable contractors found who have the money to make the installation instead of trying to make a quick buck by re-selling the license to another person, who may in turn be trying to gain a monopoly by buying many licenses. Should be plenty of quick- buck artists over there to beware of.
