You are of course correct.

16 min. after posting I realized existing shares are not being redeemed,
but cancelled. Didn't get to finish updating the post.

I'll stick by the rest of it, however.

The trick to PGO restructuring is having the debt holders accept equity instead of repayment. This is a gamble for them. The rights deal, as structured, is set up to put a few more dollars in Moe's pocket, but why CGS should get a hand in the pie is beyond me. Nevertheless, I think this is a viable approach that will benefit the common at the expense of the debt holders. It's a go. Strict fairness should not be an issue - after all this is business.
