If you are getting bit lots, it helps to put a quart of whiskey, a bottle of benadryl cream and an ounce of cocaine in a steamer, put a towel over your head and inhale deeply for ten or twelve hours. It won't stop the itching, but you won't care half as much. Kids, don't do this at home.. My cousin did it once, and now we lead him around by a leash and use sign language to get thru to him. It has helped our performance at charades immensely, so we don't complain. We took him to a vocational counsellor, but their tests indicated he would make at best a lawyer, broker or used car salesman, if we could teach him the basic elements of deceptive practices. We let him watch question period on TV and read him the liberal red book of campaign promises. We feel he will be in good shape in due course. bite salves: baking powder, teabag, potato, cucumber, raw onion, meat tenderizer, lime or lemon juice, poultice of summer savory, basil and witch-hazel.. A vitamins B1 tablet a day is alleged to repel mosquitoes. There are several support sources for this. A good repellent is one part pyrethrin flowers in kerosene, one part citronella oil, one part spirits of camphor. (you can get all in a drugstore you might try the pyrethrins in alcohol.) It lasts one hour and no flies will land, not even horseflies.. it is hard on the skin as the kerosene is not recommended, but it works in a tough dangerous bug country like malarial swamps.. do not put above eyes.. or too near.
