nuts. Even if I accepted all those facts (which I don't) -- it would still be wrong on

1) moral grounds -- i.e. a strike first policy with no immediate thread

2) the idea that we have a right to disrespect the sovereignty of any state which doesn't conform to our model of government

If it really was about WMD and they knew where they were -- these could have been dealt with -- (what kind of air defenses did Iraq have anyway) without taking over the country. It's clear they don't have the evidence of WMD mfr or they would have produced it by now to answer their critics.

I grieve for the families who have lost loved ones for this silly misadventure. What I don't understand is why the press has been so friendly to this administration -- cooperating fully in their silly campaign of fear. You want to believe it, you can have it.
