Saudia Arabia...Iraq...what is the difference. Semantics really... All Arabs are the same, they attacked us, lets take out some them, that will teach them a lesson.

Never mind the FACT that the 9/11 perps. were from Saudia Arabia. Iraqi blood is just as sweet and so coincidently is their oil.

>>but offensively taking the fight to these enemies is also part an effective strategy for combating terror and instability<<

seriously, I have no problem with that when we know specifics -- I didn't disagree with pursuing Al queda into Afghanistan

But this simply does not apply to the Iraq situation -- this was an excuse that was sold in the wake of 9/11 and apparently a lot of people, including yourself, bought it.

Some are easily scared into supporting any government act and many like their president to act "presidential." Enjoy it, but take your time is assessing how worthwhile this will have been -- it will be a long time before we leave Iraq and before we do -- we may be involved in a real war -- not just stopping on a few ants <ng>

I would guess you support all the war power suspension of rights to due process as well -- as long as we know the folks being held are ... er terrorists ... or of the proper nationality
