Xybernaut Teams With Tactical Survey Group, Ship Analytics, Plangraphics, AcSys Biometrics and Oracle for AppsWorld Conference in London
Monday June 23, 9:15 am ET
Xybernaut Wearable Technologies Serve as Computing Platform for Comprehensive Homeland Security Solution

FAIRFAX, Va. & LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 23, 2003-- Xybernaut® Corporation (NASDAQ:XYBR - News) today announced its involvement in a joint effort to develop advanced homeland security solutions that combine wearable computing with biometrics, GIS/GeoSpatial, database management systems and related technologies. Working jointly with Tactical Survey Group, ShipAnalytics, Plangraphics, AcSys Biometrics, Inc. and Oracle Corporation, this teaming relationship was forged to combine selected technologies that are critical for homeland security.
"Homeland security and critical incident response present an array of challenges, particularly for first responders such as law enforcement, fire and rescue and government agencies. From identifying and prioritizing threats to best-practices in responding to emergency situations, the most effective homeland security solutions work across jurisdictions and are able to handle various types of data -- text, audio, video, images, speech, geospatial and others," stated Steven A. Newman, president of Xybernaut. "Nonetheless, data-for-data-sake is not the answer. The true test of any solution is its ability to allow users to quickly find 'meaning' in the vast amounts of information that is available."

During the Oracle AppsWorld Conference in London, Xybernaut Mobile Assistant® V (MA® V) and Atigo(TM) wearable computers will be used as the primary mobile computing platforms configured with these homeland security applications and software from several technology leaders.

Company representatives will jointly demonstrate the solutions from Monday, June 23 through Wednesday, June 25 at the Excel Conference Center -- located in London's Dockland area -- approximately 10 minutes east from downtown.

WHEN/WHERE:

June 23 - 25 activities will be held at the Excel Conference Center
Location: Royal Victoria Dock, London, England
Location Info: exhibition-conference-centre.co.uk
