Yes , that may be true sometimes ....but if I keep an open mind long enough & work hard , I may get a glimpse of Sun God , mingle with the primordial life force , and touch bases with my humble Inner Child here and there and feel the Powers of the Muses, (or Holy Spirit to you) ...;-)When you state so forcefully there was no Moses, bla, bla, bla. You are making your self look damn pompous and arrogant. Do you know what the original Ten Commandments of Moses really were ? That the ones you accept today as the traditional commandments were quite different from the originals ...and according to the scripture seemed to have gotten misplaced ? There were probably 100's of these "commandments" and the ones you accept today weren't rediscovered till 600 BCE by King Josiah ? And that was interesting considering that some stone tablets given by God to a whole nation would some how disappear and get lost in the Temple among so many scroll manuscripts? What ever happened to those "Stone Tablets " ?" 101 Myths of the Bible " ggreenberg.tripod.com Are you one of the Twelve Disciples that the Mormons claim is still alive? Just think if the Mormons orginated in Europe, and just how persecuted they might have been by other "Christians" had they practiced their newly "revealed" beliefs their ? Given that most likely that if you go back far enough , you'd find your own monotheism originates back in Egypt in the worship of "Aten" and the Cult of the "Sun God ". Mormons aren't so bad at all , and lend complete credibility to my statements concerning how Christianity, just as Islam did along side of it , made it up as they went . Thanks for bringing up the Mormons , they are a perfect modern example of how one group of "believers" of any age make things up , thrive on myths and legends and go on to erect monuments and temples to these myths . I REST MY CASE ;-) At least we choose to believe a Holy written word passed down through the ages that is constant, provides high moral standards for society to live harmoniously and in peace. It's true that men always prefer to have rules to keep each other in check especially those lower down on the social ladder ...common standards of decency as the actual standards themselves changed greatly over time as was the fashion and mode of thinking . You only have to go back to the Victorian era under Queen Victoria of England , Santiago as one example . Sexuality was so repressed and made "off-limits" , that just the sight of a lady's ankle or bare foot would arose.... I mean "arouse" men to a complete frenzy ! ...They had to even cover up the legs of tables , in polite society ... for the sight of even a table leg would send men off into a highly aroused sexual state . They had to invent longer table coverings just so that men would not get to worked up ! Prostitution was absolutely horrific back then and grew into a very dismal & seedy situation.... as almost anything was OK as far as men gratifying themselves this way , and everyone looked the other way . Venereal diseases ran rampant ...you said you wanted the truth, but can YOU handle it ? hmmmm ? As time went on , and the situation "evolved" , women challenged their right to vote , demonstrated to obtain more equal rights , and I think some atheist invented "bloomers" , so they would have more freedom from all those constricting dress codes . Evolution at work Santiago as men were always part of it. ;-)
