Do you think the BBC would run a fraudulent source?

I certainly wouldn't rule the prospect of such out for any news source, although with size the prospect generally grows unlikely; financially, legally, and otherwise, large media sources are more accountable for what they report than "independent" or "alternative" media sites. It's possible, however unlikely.

That said, the prospect of an "unnamed" man seems suspicious at best.

Moreover, you still haven't provided a link, so I have no way of ascertaining the entirety of the article, whether the article is merely an accounting for a conversation reflecting opinions or if there's some greater documentation thereafter, a complete identity and authority of the cited individuals, etc.

They're one of the best and most independent news sources in the world and have a sterling reputation.

In your opinion, you mean. I personally have little basis for - and without a link am quite disinclined from - reaching the same conclusion.

I don't ingest any source wholesale. That's the business of (many of) the other folks posting in this forum: believing that being a skeptic connotates eating, unquestioningly, from the most unlikely, unfounded plate of explanation on the metaphoric table of perspective. That's not me, and it certainly isn't anywhere near the spirit of truth-seeking skepticism.
