Ah, too bad, a pretty good cartoon by Delonas can't be linked. If you decide to look for it, it's published on the 4/2/03 edition of the NY Post.

You are huffing and puffing on a different topic, Hawk.

That's going to take someone with a better degree of cognitive function than what you've shown us thus far, John..

You've decided to drop away from the issue of the wmd justifications that the Bush administration used for the invasion--got to go right now,

I have?? Hardly. I've BEEN VERY CONSISTENT with my discussion of how non-compliance with 1441 and other UNSC resolutions is more than sufficient justification for this military action.

You, and some of your friends, seem to be the ones grasping at any straws you can find to justify your feeble positions for ignoring Iraq's non-compliance.

What you call inspections, I call searching for a needle in a haystack...

Inspections were supposed to have been like this:

1.) This is a list of everything we have, THUS FAR, discovered to be unaccounted for.

2.) You will provide the documentation and materials related to this list, as well as any materials you have previously failed to reveal, for inspection and destruction.

IT IS NOT OUR JOB TO HAVE TO LOOK FOR IT.

3.) Should you fail to meet the terms of this inspection procedure, or fail to provide all requested documentation, or to provide full cooperation, you will be found in material breach with the result that the terms of the cease fire will no longer apply.

As for eminent threat, please define that? A small dirty bomb with the material in the Iraqi nuke storage sites? Or the unknown potential that Iraq is working secretly on various kinds of biological/chemical weapons, or even worse, nuclear weapons..

If anything, there was a eminent threat that the UN was about to render itself UTTERLY (instead of mostly) useless...

Any regime that was willing to sacrifice billions of dollars in potential oil revenue, solely to remain in non-compliance, provides very strong suspicion that there's a good reason for not doing so.

But if you want sufficient reason for overthrowing Saddam, keeping digging... there are plenty of mass graves you peruse to your hearts content.
