Those dollars have to go somewhere. Yes, it looks like they were unloading some securities in Q1 (at the low for stocks), but that doesn't mean they will continue to do so. After all, the current account deficit has been large for some time and the appetite for American assets has been mostly positive. Do you think the growth prospects are better elsewhere? Certainly not Europe. Where are all the dollars we keep shipping over seas going to get invested if not back here?
