The Iraq War was timed to steal the November elections. In July prior to that Bush was plummeting in the polls amidst media stories focusing on the crummy economy and Enron type scandals. Karl Rove said OK, let's start a war. Dick Morris said "shed Iraqi blood now". Bush obeyed his advisors and right-wing experts. Nothing like a war to eclipse an election debate.

Re: care to elucidate that whopper

Are you just plain dumb? Do you ever read the news? Can you think?

Look, the Kean Commission has been effectively neutered by Bush. It has no subpoena power to investigate the Bush complicity in 9/11, of which there is overwhelming evidence.

And with regard to the WMD investigation, Bush has used his control of the Party apparatus, just as Hitler would have, to prevent effective public investigations into what are clear lies told by Bush, Cheney and the others on that criminal team about the phony justification that were used by Bush to cheat us into the quagmire of Iraq.

Hundreds of Americans and thousands of Iraqis are now dead because of Bush's criminality. That needs to be publicly and openly investigated if this thing called American democracy is not to become the laughingstock of the entire world.

What Bush has done is shameful. He needs to be punished for his crimes.
