Amen to that! I took a big dump in Greenstone not long after I began to invest for myself... ouch. Bill Murphy kept saying it was a better bargain.

Papaya,
We are all on a learning curve, some of us like myself are still learning. But I have to say as far as guru's CC may not fit that mold but he has helped me immensely and has had a lot more great picks than clinkers by a long shot. My mistakes were not taking to heart what he did say at times. So I think you can learn certain things or listen to certain picks from different writers and then mold it into your own strategy and end up doing fine at least it works for me. Besides I would be the 1st to admit I am one of the less knowledgeable people here so I don't mind looking into a pick that a "guru" has come up with. May not buy into the idea but for me it's sometimes a good place to start.
But each to his or her own. I just hope we all meet with a good measure of success.
Tom
