Yep, the city boys are telling me the 10 tons of N-P-K I use every year is actually fertilizer. All these years I though buying that stuff was just a way to get rid of extra money. Next they'll be telling me that the crushed limestone is used to sweeten the soil and not just a pretty white coating.

Years ago the had a problem in Chesapeake Bay similar to the problem in the Everglades. In that case it was the phosphates used in detergents that was causing the problem.
