The US is involved, heavily, in attempting to resolve the violence in the Balkans. Ireland. Wrong example, again. US taxpayers don't fund either side, but we do try to resolve that problem, as well. Basques? Do we give the Spanish or the Basques three billion dollars a year? What about the Native Americans? Oh, right, this is the "shit happens" argument.
