Funnily enough, I am not per se a Zionist either. That is, I would have been dubious about the Zionist project prior to the Holocaust, and would have favored a bi- national solution after, if the local Arabs could be persuaded. As things stand, though, history has overtaken us, and I will be damned if I will let a new Holocaust happen without protest, which would be the net effect of abandoning Israel at this point.
