I've noticed the same thing regarding popups. For nearly a week, I've been getting them from sites I didn't used to get them from. And these aren't the GAIN ones. Most of them that I get are never visible, even by clicking the taskbar button.

SI's not currently serving pops, but it will eventually in the same manner it did before we acquired it.

"popups all over... I have spybot, adaware and noadds with noadds working overtime."

as you probably know, Spybot and Ad-aware do not stop pop ups. they do an excellent job of ridding your pc of spyware, after it's installed itself.

NoAds does an okay (or better) job of combating pop ups, but one must remember to update the program from within. by periodically clicking the Updates button, you will synchronize your targets list with the targets list on the NoAds master server. pop ups are a continually morphing phenom... it's difficult for any one program to keep pace, but NoAds will hang in and fight the fight... if you at least remember to run the update feature.

i run it at least once a day.

I never get ads or popups on SI or IHUB. Not even this past week, but....

I had never done an MS upgrade in the 3 yrs I owned this computer and my son did MS upgrades this past weekend and it is unbelieveable all the junk emails and pop ups I get now when I go to sites other than SI or IHUB. Darn it as it had to be those MS upgrades.
