If our auto industry is doing just fine, how come my investments in GM and Ford have tanked so badly?

I don't disagree that US consumers have benefited from Japanese products. I drove foreign cars exclusively for many years, and would still be doing so if Toyota hadn't screwed up their pickup trucks just when I needed a new one.

But that wasn't the issue I was addressing.

I note particularly the statement "'Black studies celebrates blackness, Chicano studies celebrates Chicanos, women's studies celebrates women, and white studies attacks white people as evil,' Horowitz said." It seems relevant by parallel to our earlier discussion.
