In my work I see far too much of the destruction which alcohol brings to many individuals and families, and the horrors it wreaks on young children. Certainly there are people who can and do use alcohol responsibly and safely. But overall, it is such a dangerous drug both to society and to individuals, and so frequently abused and misused, that I have made a choice not to support the industry in any way. So I do not use alcohol in any form, and I don't invest in any companies which produce alcoholic beverages. Just my little way of protesting the dangers of a drug which is, IMO, far more dangerous than marijuana (which I don't use either, but which IMO it is absurd to criminalize while tobacco and alcohol are legal). And no, I don't advocate the criminialization of alcohol or tobacco. People have the right to choose to use them. And I have the right to choose not to.
