I've often thought that it would be useful for students to be taught elementary symbolic logic, as well as formal logic, as soon as they can comprehend it. Most useful classes I ever took.

As it was for me.. They called it "philosophy", so it fulfilled that requirement for my diploma..

Just a shame that more of the folks we find ourselves "jousting" with out here were more interested in metaphysics instead of logic.

I wholeheartedly agree, CB. It's surprising that basic formal reasoning skills aren't taught at least in high school.
